Introduction

A conjunction is an astronomical event when two or more planets come close together in the sky. In astrology, we closely look at conjunctions where multiple planets reside in the same Rashi or zodiac sign.

Two-planet and three-planet conjunctions are rather frequent. However, a conjunction of four or more planets is rarer. This is considered to be a significant event and has several consequences on a person born when a conjunction is occurring (as per the natal chart) and generally, in the society as a whole.

Conjunctions can have an effect for an extended period of time and not only when they occur. Hence such events are closely watched by astrologers.
